so, this is Christmas

Is it just me, or does it seem even more commercial than usual this year? I mean, tv advertisements about giving cars as gifts is really over the top. What ever happened to giving jars of baking and spiced nuts? We're striving for an old fashioned Christmas this year - books and calendars for everyone. Besides, what I like best is the gatherings, the food, the wine, the family time. The smell of the tree, the crackle of the fire, the warmth of having your family all together even though they're annoying. That's what it's all about. Hope everyone has a great Christmas. Cheers!
