check, check
A short hiatus. And now, a brief check-in. I've been busy writing in other mediums; journaling with pen and paper (gasp!) and continuing the work on my fiction writing. The goal is to write at least 2 pages per day, but I am hit and miss with that...when I do write I seldom produce less than 4 pages and I`m still at the point where I don`t write at all 50% of the time because of household chores, stretching/rehab exercises or exhaustion from the day, but overall I'm really enjoying the challenge and the product of my efforts.
Had dinner with an old friend this evening. It was so easy chatting and laughing with someone who has known me more than half my life - no pretensions, no judgments. Just care and interest. Being on the cusp of such major life changes it was reaffirming and relieving to get her perspective on everything.
Have officially broken the 40 km per week barrier and am still injury free (knock on a lot of wood). Has had more to do with diet than I care to admit (sugar really is a killer) and it has been hard to be so disciplined about the rehab exercises especially now that I'm not seeing the physio anymore.
